Tattoo Removal & Redesign
Body art tattoo removal and adjustment procedures
The number of people in the United States with at least one tattoo is estimated at 45 million. Indeed, the tattoo industry continues to thrive as a fashion statement, form of personal expression, and lifestyle hallmark. At the same time, body art tattoo removal has become an increasing phenomenon. The reasons for this can be both personal and/or aesthetic.
Reasons for tattoo removal—like permanent cosmetic makeup—vary. Foremost among these reasons is dissatisfaction with discolored, smudged, or faded ink. Personal regrets and lifestyle changes are also factors in seeking body art removal. However, a growing number of our clients are seeking tattoo adjustment and removal procedures in order to create a new design.
Luckily, there is now a way to remove tattoos totally or partially. And new techniques make adjustment procedures easier and, consequently, more attractive than ever.
Laser Removal Versus Natural Saline or TEPRSOL® Removal
Lasers commonly used in the industry easily remove most black and brown tattoos. In this procedure, lasers eliminate tattoo ink or pigment by breaking down and pushing the pigment/ink fragments deeper into the tissues, which are the body then depletes.
However, laser treatments are traditionally very expensive, painful, and can cause blistering. Also, they cannot treat certain ink colors due to the laser’s inability to break down lighter colors or colors that are very similar to the patient’s skin tone. Moreover, lasers are not advisable for dark ethnic skin tones. In addition, older tattoos are harder to remove. Another important factor for consideration is that ink which has been placed in the deep layers of the skin is not reachable by conventional laser.
Finally, laser removal visits are multiple (8 to 12), costly (depending on the size of the tattoo area the provider will treat per visit). And most lasers ultimately do not remove all pigment or ink tattoo colors.
TEPRSOL® or Saline natural tattoo removal
Body art designers and permanent cosmetic makeup professionals acclaim the Tatt2away® Tattoo Removal System as the most innovative natural tattoo-removal and re-design technology available today. Its patented tattoo-removal technology uses the natural ingredient TEPRSOL®, which removes all color pigments and ink.
The Tatt2away® Tattoo Removal System works using a technique similar to that used in applying a tattoo:
- First, the skin is lightly abraded in a patented pattern to reduce scarring
- Rather than using ink, your technician then introduces a patented solution called TEPRSOL®.
- TEPRSOL® relies on the body’s natural healing response to reject the ink from the body in the form of a scab, actually removing the ink from the body.
- Tatt2Away® treatments are designed to remove the tattoo in a series of visits for maximum results. The number of treatments depends on the size complexity, and location of the design. An average size tattoo (4 inches by 4 inches), may need 4 or 5 visits; during the initial consultation, we will determine the number of visits .
- Discomfort from the procedure is comparable to that of a tattoo application. Treatment sessions last about 20-30 minutes. Time between treatment sessions is usually about six to eight weeks.
We are a certified Tatt2away® tattoo removal center.
Saline Tattoo Removal
Daisi saline tattoo removal is another effective method of tattoo elimination that has various advantages over traditional laser therapies. The saline method is effective on all types of tattoos, regardless of age, color, and location. All grades of tattoos, including permanent makeup and “homemade” tattoos done with India ink, are also easily treatable. The saline method is relatively painless in comparison to other methods of removal, which can cause blistering or potential scar formation. Treatment time and expense is also greatly reduced with the saline method. As a result, fewer treatments are necessary to obtain desired results.
The saline method is applied using traditional tattoo equipment in a fashion very similar to your original tattoo. In place of ink, a saline solution is used that penetrates the deeper layers of the skin to bond with ink molecules. As time passes, the body naturally recognizes these particles as foreign and pushes them to the surface of the skin. Similar to our Tatt2Away® method, these particles form a scab that later heals free of any tattoo ink or pigment.
At your consultation, we will discuss the proper evaluation of your tattoo removal needs, options, and benefits of tattoo removal procedures.
